The Hardwired for Stories Book Exchange Project provides students with an opportunity to practice reading strategies they have learned in class, problem solve, collaborate, promote literacy, and make a significant contribution to their community. Locations for installation of the Book Exchanges made during the 2013-2014 school year:Sand Creek elementary main lobby, Copper Mesa elementary preschool area, MRMS team 71 pod, Waiting room of a local family therapist, MRMS literacy specialist's office

How community members can get involved:

We our hoping to find folks willing to donate or loan:
  • wood clamps able to open to 15 inches or more
  • wood glue
  • 3/4 inch wire nails
  • 3/8 inch plywood
  • a volunteer with a table saw willing to help Mr. Vincelette cut wood to predetermined sizes.
